for the first two and a half weeks of brendan's life, we were fortunate enough to have my mom stay with us and help us get adjusted to life with a baby. not only did she keep me company during the day when lee went back to work, but she washed dishes, did laundry, cooked some meals, cleaned the floors, helped take care of brendan (even in the middle of the night), and more.
even though she had to leave a little sooner than planned for unfortunate circumstances, we appreciated the time we had with her and are so grateful for all she did to help make our transition to a family of three as smooth as possible. we love you, grandma! can't wait for you and papa to visit again :)
