happy fourth of july!

we spent the 4th in college station with katy. i made my first patriotic dessert, and later we enjoyed fireworks with some of the garrett girls.

i do not normally say much on holidays such as today, but i feel that i should recognize and thank those who have allowed us to enjoy such a day with friends and family year after year. that statement is so easy to say without any weight behind it, but i know my granddad helped do things for our country during world war II that i can never imagine. it is because of men like him that we can live as we do. thanks, granddaddy bill.
