more fall flame fun

our small group at our church that i mentioned in the last post is named "the flame."  this weekend was our yearly fall fesitval class event.  our party was at the church so we set up toys for the kids and tables for the eating and socializing for the families.  everyone signed up for main dishes, sides, desserts or drinks...and it was all delicious!


the room we were in had a whiteboard and a stage which the bigger kids found quite entertaining.  we had new faces mixed in with the regulars and kids of all ages playing together, some for the first time.  natalie planned a fun minute-to-win-it game involving a candy corn toss.  i never did hear if the last team won or not, but as you can see from the pictures, it was a fun challenge. 

i say it again, but this class has given us some dear friends.  i could not imagine the last year (welcoming brendan into the world and learning how to be parents) without the support system this class has been for us.  i am so thankful that we eventually decided to visit a class and not just attend the worship service back in the last few months of 2010.  this group just seems to continue to grow and grow (by new members joining and new babies being born)!  with so many different people from so many different walks of lives, almost all of us seem to have connected in at least one way or another...what a blessing!
